status of Acupuncture in India or abroad?

In China, it is very popular
like Ayurveda in India. Acupuncture has been integrated
with modern medicine there. In India it is being
practiced in all major cities, privately in clinics
and hospitals like Vidyasagar Institute of Mental
Health and Neurosciences (VIMHANS), Indian Spinal;
Injuries Centre, Delhi, also in some government
hospitals. Indian Govt. is yet to recognize, although
it is being practiced in many Govt. Hospitals
